Made on the premises - Reavley's Cream
As a young man in the 1920's, the present owner's father, Eric,
worked at a cement factory. The elderly ladies with whom he lodged
in the week both suffered from very dry skin on their hands. Eric
asked his father Robert to suggest something to help them, and
so Reavley's Cream was developed.
Reavley's Cream contains lanolin and glycerin, and continues to be made on
the premises where it was originally invented.

Traditional Ointments & Remedies
We still have and use Robert Reavley's recipe book and other old books
of formulae for some traditional preparations.
For instance, we make our own Cold Cream for cleansing, a Chilblain
Ointment and a Liquid Brilliantine. Requests for other needs will
be met wherever possible.
Prescriptions
We dispense both private and NHS prescriptions.
Over the counter medicines
A comprehensive variety of over-the-counter medicines is kept
for common ailments, and we will do our best to obtain something
you particularly want if we do not already have it. This includes
conventional medicines as well as herbal and homeopathic remedies,
together with essential oils for massage and inhaling.
The supply of both prescription and over the counter medicines over the Internet is a new and exciting concept, but there are security, safety and confidentiality aspects which are being worked upon by the professional bodies for Pharmacy and Medicine. When these important points have been settled, we shall be able to assist you in this area too.

Disability Services & Maternity Needs
We have access to a wide variety of products for young babies and breast-feeding mothers, pregnant women and people with disabilities. Please ask the Pharmacist, Cedric Reavley, or his staff, for assistance. Many items which are not already in stock can be obtained within one working day.
Camera Films & Batteries, Video & Camcorder Tapes
We keep a wide range of camera films in stock, together with camera
batteries and some video and camcorder tapes. We also keep batteries
for hearing-aids and some of the general purpose ones as well.
Film & Video Processing
We act as agents for a good-value film processing firm, and for
another company who transfer cine film and slides to video, and
are able to transfer videos made on one system to any other. Camcorder
footage can also be transferred to DVD.
Services & Special Orders
Any item which is not in stock will be obtained as promptly as
possible, often within a matter of hours. We also pride ourselves
on stocking a variety of hard-to-find items, and on sourcing supplies
of those not in stock on request.
Our services of making old formulas to order was featured in
the Sunday Telegraph 2nd June 2002.
Advisory Services
The Pharmacist can offer advice on medicines and matters of healthcare
to customers on the premises. An Internet advice service is NOT
available at present.
He also has considerable resources and experience in matching
and identifying branded drugs and generics from many other countries.
